PAST WORKS
A lone abandoned house sits far from everyone else. Even so, people come to visit all the time. Some for romantic moments, laze around, ghost hunting and many more. Some even dwell there. Many say that the house is haunted.
One day, a property developer plans to demolish the house. This makes the dwellers angry. They then do everything within their means to prevent the demolition. In turn, this makes the others believe even more that the house is haunted.
Will they succeed in demolishing the house? Is it really haunted?
TAHYUL aims to explore Malay superstitions through an entertaining stage play.

OUR FIRST PRODUCTION
Wan Belantara
10th and 11th January 2025
Goodman Arts Centre
SYNOPSIS:
WAN BELANTARA is inspired by Farid ud-Din Attar's poem “Conference of the Birds” and the winning poem “Raja Adil Raja Disembah” in 2012's inter-school Deklamasi Sajak Kreatif competition.
The play will feature a group of ants plotting and embarking on a journey to send tributes to a newly elected king of the jungle. This is a special moment for the animals in the jungle as previously the lion and its descendants has always been the king. But this time, a different animal has been elected as the king and it is a time for celebration.
Along the journey, the ants recollect the deeds of the previous kings and how the current king is the best in, and for, the jungle.
